From the factory

Capability, capacity and the things a buyer needs to plan around. Not a blog.

[CONFIRM] — four drafts for Jesper. Nothing below has been published or approved. The partnership entry is written to the standing wording rule and says nothing beyond it.

Transition

Paterson has a new home online, and a trade section behind it

The corporate site has moved to patersonjewellery.shop and now carries a trade section alongside it. Nothing about how you order changes today: the same coordinator, the same quotations, the same production. What changes is that the catalogue, your prices and your order status stop living in an email thread. The old address stays available and points here.

Trade

Order, quote and track in one account instead of an email chain

Approved trade accounts see their own price list, submit a purchase order without writing an email, and follow each job by production stage — CAD, wax, casting, setting, finishing, packing. Quotations and proforma invoices arrive in the same place. There is no card checkout; we invoice, as we always have. If you would rather still phone or email, nothing stops you.

Howlet

A strategic partnership with Howlet, and what it opens for retailers

Paterson has manufactured Howlet from the beginning. That relationship is now a strategic partnership, and the practical result for the trade is simple: Howlet's numbered runs are available to stock. Each run is split before it is announced, so retailers hold their share ahead of the public release. Runs are finite and archived when they close.

Sourcing

Every gold quotation now prints the reference price it was built on

Gold-based prices follow the Thai buy price on the day an order is confirmed. From now on the quotation states which reference was used and the date it expires, so when the metal moves you can see exactly what moved with it. Silver-based prices are unaffected.
